My journey with dogs
Growing up on a farm surrounded by dogs, I knew from a young age that I wanted to dedicate my life to working with them. My passion for dogs led me to join a local rescue and animal protection unit in high school, where I actively participated in dog sports, events, and courses. Over the years, I've had the privilege of working with dogs in various settings, from rescue environments to prestigious kennels. This hands-on experience has given me a broad understanding of dogs living in different environments and the challenges they face. In my early 30s, I discovered a sense of belonging in Sweden, where I've been able to pursue my passion for working with dogs through entrepreneurship.
Professional Education and Training
I've been fortunate to study canine behavior and psychology from industry-leading professionals in the United States and England. I'm a member of several international dog professional communities and stay up-to-date with the latest science-based, humane training techniques and approaches. I regularly attend hands-on courses to ensure my knowledge and skills are current and effective.
My Approach
My approach places a strong emphasis on fulfillment and enrichment. Sometimes, dogs don't need another training session - they simply need the opportunity to sniff, explore, move their bodies, solve problems, and engage in the natural behaviors they were born to express. When those needs are consistently met, learning becomes easier, communication improves, and training becomes something the dog genuinely wants to participate in. That doesn't mean obedience takes a back seat. Quite the opposite. I place great importance on teaching practical, functional skills that improve everyday life: a reliable recall, leash skills, the ability to settle and do nothing, emotional resilience, and the capacity to cope with stress and the ever-changing environments we share with our dogs.
To me, the goal isn't a perfectly obedient dog - it's a fulfilled, capable companion. A dog you can take on adventures with confidence, but who can also calmly pause by your side, listen when it matters, and navigate the world with you as a team.
A big part of my work is based on the Family Dog Mediation approach using the L.E.G.S. model (Learning, Environment, Genetics, and Self). In simple terms, this means I don't just look at a dog's behavior - I look at the whole dog. Every dog is an individual, and their behavior is shaped by their experiences, their environment, their genetics, and their unique personality. Understanding these pieces helps us create training plans that are fair, effective, and tailored to each dog.
